As part of this event, which is dedicated to business and networking opportunities, SYNTH\u00c8SE will present two not-to-be-missed activities focusing on the <strong>development of local talent<\/strong> and, more specifically, on the <strong>upskilling<\/strong> of professionnals for <strong>supervisory positions<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Activity 1 on Wednesday, November 8, 2023 from 11:20 a.m. to 12 noon<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-table\"><table><tbody><tr><td>Panel discussion \u2013 <em>Equipping emerging local talent: training the next generation of Qu\u00e9bec video games industry senior professionals.<\/em><\/td><\/tr><\/tbody><\/table><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>This panel will highlight current initiatives, from two studios, to <strong>encourage professionals to move into supervisory positions<\/strong>. We will also discuss how <strong>higher-education institutions<\/strong> can <strong>support businesses and the ecosystem in providing training<\/strong> to this sought-after workforce. Finally, the discussion will highlight <strong>ways in which we can work together<\/strong> to find solutions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Moderated by our Executive Director, <strong>Brigitte Monneau<\/strong>, this discussion will feature <strong>four experts<\/strong> in their respective fields:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Christopher Chancey <\/strong>\u2013 CEO \u2013 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.manavoid.com\/\">Manavoid Entertainment<\/a><ul><li><strong>Christina Tzournavelis <\/strong>\u2013 Advisor, Talent Development \u2013 <a href=\"https:\/\/montreal.ubisoft.com\/en\/\">Ubisoft Montr\u00e9al<\/a><\/li><\/ul><ul><li><strong>Christian Beauchesne<\/strong> \u2013 Acting Director \u2013 <a href=\"https:\/\/formations.nad.ca\/fr\/\">\u00c9cole NAD-UQAC<\/a><\/li><\/ul>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Simon Delamarre<\/strong> \u2013 Director, Continuing Education \u2013 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bdeb.qc.ca\/formation-continue-programmes\/creativite-numerique\/\">Coll\u00e8ge de Bois-de-Boulogne<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Activity 2 on Wednesday, November 8, 2023 from 1:20 to 3:20 p.m.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-table\"><table><tbody><tr><td>Design Thinking workshop \u2013 <em>Toward an action plan for supervisor training!<\/em><\/td><\/tr><\/tbody><\/table><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>The panel discussion will be followed by a Design Thinking workshop aimed at getting video games industry professionals and educational establishments to <strong>lay the groundwork for an action plan on supervisor training<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This workshop will bring together a <strong>maximum of 15 participants<\/strong>, including:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Representatives of higher-education institutions (continuing education departments)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>HR experts | talent development and\/or continuing studio training<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Studio team supervisors (artistic and programming professions)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>As seating is limited, attendance at this workshop is by <strong>personal invitation<\/strong> from SYNTH\u00c8SE. Nonetheless, if this topic is of interest to you, and you would like to take part in discussions, please contact <a href=\"mailto:afrancais@polesynthese.com\">Albane Fran\u00e7ais<\/a>, Director of Communications and Partnerships at SYNTH\u00c8SE.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This workshop is designed to find <strong>actionable solutions to the shortage of supervisors<\/strong> by getting participants to think about what can be <em>done<\/em>\/<em>bolstered<\/em>\/<em>dropped<\/em>. A report will be drafted and sent to all participants and, on request, to interested parties.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To be more specific, participants will be asked to <strong>reflect on and\/or share their experience of the learning practices and approaches<\/strong> implemented within their company and community of experts. This event also provides an opportunity to reflect on <strong>key skill-development<\/strong> for future supervisors, the human, financial, and material <strong>resources<\/strong> such development requires, and <strong>existing or possible obstacles<\/strong> and <strong>potential solutions<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Come and meet with us in the Exhibition Zone!<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In addition to these two activities, SYNTH\u00c8SE will be present in the Exhibition Zone.
