Daniel Wilén is the Managing Director for Arctic Game – the thriving games industry initiative in northern Sweden. Together with his colleagues and a wide range of stakeholders, Daniel has balanced the politicians’ need for regional growth and diversity, with the local game developer’s need for education, capital, business development and a strong industry network. A challenging but very inspiring task where it’s been crucial to understand what a city, company and individual need to succeed and what their different drivers are. The result is a thriving ecosystem that has raised northern Sweden’s general attractiveness and transformed the city of Skelleftea into a rising star within the global games industry market.
