Madeleine Brown

Madeleine Brown is the founder of mcb | legal studio. She practices litigation and intellectual property law with a focus on digital media, technology, and the creative industries. Before founding mcb, Madeleine practiced at a leading full-service Canadian law firm.

Madeleine’s family on her father’s side is Sto:lo, whose traditional territory is the Fraser River Valley in British Columbia. She is passionate about supporting Indigenous creatives in the entertainment industry, with a particular interest in the protection of Indigenous traditional knowledge and cultural expressions through Intellectual Property law.

Madeleine has a law degree and certificates in Intellectual Property law and Entertainment law, from Osgoode Hall Law School. When she is not practicing law, Madeleine is likely at a concert, learning a new skill, or exploring Hyrule.
