About Yona
Yona is a programmer who developed their design and programming skills primarily through game jams and solo projects. Their first publicly released game was an arcade-inspired music game with a focus on user-generated content, which at the time gained a small but highly engaged following in the rhythm game community.
Thunder Lotus’ coop multiplayer game “”33 Immortals”” was their first major commercial release as part of an indie studio; their primary role on the programming team was that of a generalist. Aside from developing gameplay features while fending off the ever-present army of bugs, some of their tasks included building a framework to manage audio feedback and VFX, optimizing large portions of the netcode for compatibility with lower-end devices, and implementing the systems necessary for multiplayer parties.
