Sean Wylie-Toal

Rather than University, Sean co-founded his first mobile studio in 2004 as CTO. Bight Games went on to create dozens of original and branded titles, including Trade Nations, NBA Jam, and The Simpsons Tapped Out – leading to acquisition by EA in 2011. This brought great learnings about operating at scale, and Sean went on to champion best in class live service practices across EA Mobile. After 5 years at EA, Sean returned to Canada and co-founded Extra Dimension Games as CEO with two senior engineers from TSTO. Initially bootrapped, and now venture-backed by Sisu in 2022, EDG is focused on building Deep Casual games that drive long term fandom through compelling stories with snackable gameplay. EDG’s latest title, Starbrew Cafe, is backed by PVX, and has been growing a worldwide audience of magical merge lovers.
