With a graduate degree in game design and a strong work ethic, Christopher Chancey founded ManaVoid Entertainment in 2014, a 30-person video game development studio for PC and consoles. After launching his first successful title, he realized the importance of collaboration and co-founded an accelerator called the Indie Asylum in order to acquire the resources of major studios in terms of services, networking and business intelligence.
Armed with a masters degree in video game design, Christopher Chancey founded ManaVoid Entertainment, a 30 person game development studio, in 2014, making video games that mix and match known genres and mechanics in new and innovative ways.
He then proceeded to co-found the Indie Asylum in 2017, a video game startup accelerator, investing in ten companies, helping them raise over 20M$ in funding and growing the hub to over 200 developers in only five years. He is the acting general manager of the accelerator.
In 2020 Christopher was named Young Technocreative Leader of the Year according to the Montreal Youth Chamber of Commerce. Involved since 2017, he is the exiting Chairman of the Board of La Guilde du jeu vidéo du Québec, representing over 300 studios and 15000 jobs in the province, as well as teaches programming and game design at the University of Montreal and l’Université du Québec en Abitibi-Témiscamingue.
